54 year old woman with prominent eyes, lower fat prolapse, and a deep groove beneath the lower eyelids before (photographs on left) and after (photographs on right) restylane filler injected fill the tear trough area. No surgery was performed.
Comment: in selected patients, fillers such as Restylane may be used instead of or together with eyelid surgery. Removal of fat is NOT always the only or best solution to lower eyelid problems.
